Hay Days 2017 – Coming Soon!!

The 51th anniversary of Hay Days is coming to North Branch – September 9 and 10. According to the local sheriffs office the event attracts over 40,000 people! For those of you who don’t know how big Hay Days is. The event includes 300-plus vendor booths, 2100 swapper booths and 32 food vendor booths. Imagine 2100 swapper booths and 300 vendor booths all devoted to everything snowmobiling.

Aside from all the shopping, Hay Days is loaded with nonstop spectator events. The snowmobile drag race has always been a crowd pleaser. The Sno Barons 145-acre location includes a freestyle course where you could watch all the snowmobile, dirt bike and quad freestyle action.

Hay Days is everything snowmobiles, racing, swap meet and vendors offering the latest and greatest for snowmobiles.

The bad new is the hotels, motels and camp grounds are booking already. Last year folks told us that there were no rooms for 100 miles around the event.

The good news is, as of today, the Maple Knoll Inn in Rush City still has rooms available for the weekend.

Our rooms are bound to fill, so book yours today!

Why Stay at the Inn?

Why should you stay at the Inn and not some hotel? I can answer that in two words – Amenities & Atmosphere.

Amenities – We have three beautifully appointed rooms each with their own personal style. Each room has a queen be with high quality linens. We supply plush robes you can use during your stay. Each bedroom has it’s own private bathroom with wonderful soft plush towels. Two of the bathrooms feature large over-sized showers for two with dual shower heads. One of the bathroom features a wonderful claw footed tub. We have added a shower to this tub to allow you to soak or shower. Our house was built in 1914 and features spacious guest sitting areas such as our large living room, dining room, and second floor sitting room we call our sun room. With the warmer weather, enjoy or large screen porch and huge second floor deck. Our grounds cover three acres with many hundred year old maple trees and is split by Rush Creek.

Atmosphere – The Inn provides a great setting for romance, relaxation, or to renew your relationships. Sit on the deck, sun room, screen porch, or outside and enjoy a cool glass of lemonade or glass of wine. After dark, enjoy what you can’t see in the city – the stars. The sky is beautiful away from the city lights. The Inn is great for a girls night or weekend out, a team building event, or themed weekend, such as our Murder Mystery event or scrap-booking/quilting weekend. Play a game (we have many to choose from) watch a movie, read a book or search the web on our free WIFI. The Inn is a great place to use as a “jumping off point” to explore and enjoy the many things to do and see in the area – fishing, boating, kayaking, wine tasting, antiquing, biking, cycling, hiking, golf, indoor golf, sight-seeing or enjoying one of the many festivals and fairs in the area. Before leaving each morning treate yourself to one of our sensational breakfasts.

The Inn has so much more to offer than a hotel or motel. Comfortable and spacious it is more like home than a overnight travel stop. If you have never stayed at a bread and breakfast, you don’t know what you are missing!

Make your reservation, today. We look forward to seeing you.

Fly In!

Are you or does someone you know pilot a small plane? Rush City features a modern city airport with a 4,400 foot paved and lighted runway. Schedule a stay at the Inn, fly to the Rush City airport and we will provide your ground transportation to the Inn. Visit one of our local restaurants (all within walking distance) for dinner and then enjoy a great nights stay. After a restful night you will be greeted with great breakfast and we will transport you back to the airport.

June 8th, Rush City features a Fly-In event with many activities at the airport. You can also fly in to participate in any number of local activities going on around Rush City all summer. Events like the Chisago County Fair, Rush City Music and Arts Fest, Hay Days or visit one of our local businesses like Dennis Kirk, Horizon Milling, McDonald Distributing, or Plastech.

Whether you come by plane, motorcycle, bicycle, or car, there is always something going on around the Inn.
