A Great Place For Business Travelers!!

travel

Hotels often advertise that they business traveler “friendly,” when in fact they really are not. Hotels often offer small cramped rooms with limited space for the business traveler to spread out and do their work. Who can forget the nights of kids running up and down the halls making quite a racket? Relaxing? Not very.

The Maple Knoll Inn is a great place for business travelers. Our weekends are usually busy, but you can usually get room weekdays. We get a fair number of business travelers staying at the Inn. They appreciate the spacious common areas’ the Inn has to offer. Why stay cooped up in a small room at a hotel when you can spread out in our spacious living room, dining room, sun room, deck or screen porch. Take advantage of our free WiFi while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea in our quiet stress free environment. Enjoy everything the Inn has to offer. Oh and no noisy kids running up and down the halls!

Travel is stressful enough! Where you stay the night should be a quiet relaxing haven.

In the area for business, how about staying with us?

Breath taking! The Magical City!

Have you ever visited the magical town of Bentleyville, Minnesota? It is truly a wonderful town worth the visit, but you can only see the magic at night.

Like the town of Brigadoon, (the town of Brigadoon only existed for 1 day every 100 years), Duluth’s town of Bentleyville is a magical Christmas City that only exists for a short time each winter. This town is located along the Duluth water-front and exists from November 18 through December 26. You can only view the colorful light show from 5 pm until 9 pm each night during that time. The admission to the town is free. If you park on-site there is a small per car parking fee.

The shores of Lake Superior are transformed into America’s largest free walk through light show! One of the main attractions that brightly shines in the crisp evening sky is the animated 12-story (128 ft) steel Christmas tree and ball which is covered with over 150,000 sparkling LED lights! The tree rises to more than twice the height of New York City’s famous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. This spectacular giant is not to be missed! Check out the details on their website – http://www.bentleyvilleusa.org/

The Maple Knoll Inn is located just over an hour from Duluth and is a great place to stay during your visit to Bentleyville. Plan your stay at the Inn and take the short drive to Duluth to take in this wonderful magic city.

Stay With Us and See Much More Than You Will In The Cities

stars

Clean air and clear sky’s –
Hasn’t the weather been fantastic? Warm days and cool nights. Not typical weather for this time of the year. Our second story deck is a great place to watch all the activities going on around the Inn. Watch our many birds – orioles, gross beaks, cat birds, finches, humming birds, cardinals and many other varieties. Sometimes I forget how beautiful the stars are. Without the city lights you get an wonderful view of the stars. Lately there have been some great displays of the northern lights. What a wonderful sight!

The second story deck is just another great reason to stay at the Inn. Sit out on our deck, lean back, relax, maybe enjoy an adult beverage, and appreciate the stars and the northern lights. How long has it been since you took time to get away from the city lights and appreciate the stars?

Come on up and enjoy. Your room is waiting.

We Have Much To Offer at the Inn!

There are some very nice hotels, but if you stay at a B and B you get so much more than a hotel.

Each B and B offers a unique experience including some great amenities and a great atmosphere. At the Maple Knoll Inn we offer the following:

The House – Built in 1914 and features original hardwood floors and wooden built-in china cabinets and book cases. We have worked hard to keep the look and feel of the period of the house, including push button light switches, tiled bathrooms, and antique furnishings through out the house. In our dinning room we serve our guests breakfast on fine china and use antique glassware and silverware. The house and grounds have a character all there own. Located on 3 nicely landscaped acres filled with mature oak and maple trees, it is a wonderful location. Once the home of an area country doctor, the house is still known as the Doc Halpin House, to local residents.

Amenities – We have three beautifully appointed rooms each with their own personal style. Each room has a queen size bed. We use only high quality linens. We supply plush robes you can use during your stay. Each bedroom has it’s own private bathroom with wonderful soft plush towels. Two of the bathrooms feature large tiled over-sized showers with dual shower heads. One of the bathrooms features a wonderful claw footed tub with a shower. Whenever possible, we feature organic food and coffee. The house features spacious guest sitting areas such as our large living room, dining room, and second floor sitting room we call our “Sun Room”. Rush Creek runs through our property. In warm weather, use our screen porch or large second floor deck. We offer a wonderful continental breakfast during the week. The continental breakfast is served in our dining, no standing in line to get at table or food. You eat off real china with real antique silverware. On the weekends we offer a full breakfast. Consisting of one of our great signature dishes.

Atmosphere – The Inn provides a great setting for romance, relaxation, or to renew your relationships. Relax in our living room or sun room. After dark, enjoy what you can’t see in the city – the stars. The sky is beautiful away from the city lights. The Inn is great for a girls weekend, a team building event, or themed weekend, such as our Murder Mystery event or scrap-booking/quilting weekend. Play a game (we have many to choose from) watch a movie, read a book or search the web on our free WiFi. The Inn is a great place to use as a “jumping off point” to explore and enjoy the many things to do and see in the area – fishing, boating, kayaking, wine tasting, biking, cycling, hiking, golf, indoor golf, antiquing, thrift store/outlet store shopping, sight-seeing or enjoying one of the many festivals and fairs in the area. Before leaving each morning treat yourself to one of our sensational breakfasts.

The Inn has so much more to offer than a hotel or motel. No noisy kids running up and down the halls! Comfortable and spacious it is more like home than a overnight travel stop. If you have never stayed at a bed and breakfast, you don’t know what you are missing!

Weekend dates are filling fast so make your reservation, today. We look forward to seeing you.
