Share Your Story With Us!

We always love hearing from our guests. Some of them choose to post something about their stay on line – Trip Advisory or Face Book – and some take advantage of the guest book we leave in the room. Here are just a few recent comments:

Thanks for sharing your early 20th century and lovely home. What a gem for a perfect B & B. – Judy

Thank you for the wonderful peaceful stay. Wish we would have had more time to enjoy the surroundings. – Mary and Joe

Thank you for a lovely stay! We love seeing you and the accommodations and breakfast was superb! – Bob & Bylinda

Our stay here was great. It was so warm and inviting. Thank you for helping us renew our vows it meant a lot to us on our journey forward. Your home and hospitality were wonderful. Food was great. Hope to return soon. Rich and Deb

It was wonderful to stay in my old bedroom again! Even though the furniture was not the same, it really did feel like home. Forty years is a long time to be away. But you have been so careful to keep the time period the same. – Lee

What an absolutely peaceful weekend! You made Dave’s 59th birthday so special. Thank you Ruth for journeying off on an antique adventure with me, a profitable one at that. We are thrilled to have found a hidden treasure in your B&B and even more thrilled to have found new friends. – David and Kelly.

It is away’s so nice to talk with our guests. We have had the opportunity to meet people from around the world and from all over the US. Each person has their own story to tell and we so enjoy hearing them.

When will you be staying with so we can hear your story?

2016 The Best Summer Ever?

The summer of 2016 has been the best summer ever. Warm sunny days, cool summer nights. A great summer to check out everything Minnesota and the Inn has to offer.

The Maple Knoll Inn is located about half way to Duluth along I-35 (Exit 159) in beautiful Rush City. The area around the Inn has so much to offer. If you love outdoor activities enjoy our golf courses, lakes, creeks and rivers. Go fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, biking, or rock climbing. If you love festivals enjoy the county fairs in Pine City and Rush City or enjoy one of our many local festivals like Hay Days or the Rush City Music and Arts Festival. We have several area threshing show and a great rodeo over the Labor Day weekend. Like wine tasting? The area has over 6 local wineries just waiting for your visit. Do you like to explore? Explore the local historical sites like the Hinckley Fire Museum and the North West Company Fur Post. Take advantage of one of the great summer concerts at the Hinckley Casino with headliners like Alabama, Dolly Parton, Air Supply, Three Doors Down , or Alan Jackson. Maybe you just want to relax. Take a leisurely cruise on paddle boat on the St. Croix River or stay at the Inn and lounge on our front porch or upper desk.

Whatever you like to do, you will find it close to the Inn.

Take advantage of this great summer, don’t let it slip away. Book at stay with us and we will help you make a wonderful memory.

Staying in the Area Just Got Harder

Summer is always busy around the area. We have concerts in Hinckley, concerts in Pine City, theater in St. Croix Falls, fishing, boating, golfing, festivals, wine tasting, Hay Days, and now we have a new wedding barn that is opening soon in Rush City – http://www.creeksidefarmweddingsevents.com/. This wonderful wedding barn will bring many potential guests to our area.

The communities around Rush City have limited number of hotels, motels and B & B’s. In the past, with the exception of Hay Days, getting a room in the areas has not been a major problem.

This year, with the new wedding barn and some great concerts, the need for rooms is rising while at the same time the availability of rooms is shrinking. The recent closure of a 20 room hotel in the area has already impacted peoples ability to locate a room. We have already filled up for several weekends this summer and had to turn way guests.

So how do you insure you get a room for a weekend? Make your reservation, NOW!. To insure that they get a room, some of our guests are already booking out rooms into 2017!

We only have three guest rooms, so when there are events in the area we tend to fill up fast. If you plan on attending an event or just coming to the area to enjoy everything Rush City has to offer, make your reservation today.

There is always something happening around the Inn. Make your reservation, today, to insure you can enjoy it.

Why Stay at the Inn?

Why should you stay at the Inn and not some hotel? I can answer that in two words – Amenities & Atmosphere.

Amenities – We have three beautifully appointed rooms each with their own personal style. Each room has a queen be with high quality linens. We supply plush robes you can use during your stay. Each bedroom has it’s own private bathroom with wonderful soft plush towels. Two of the bathrooms feature large over-sized showers for two with dual shower heads. One of the bathroom features a wonderful claw footed tub. We have added a shower to this tub to allow you to soak or shower. Our house was built in 1914 and features spacious guest sitting areas such as our large living room, dining room, and second floor sitting room we call our sun room. With the warmer weather, enjoy or large screen porch and huge second floor deck. Our grounds cover three acres with many hundred year old maple trees and is split by Rush Creek.

Atmosphere – The Inn provides a great setting for romance, relaxation, or to renew your relationships. Sit on the deck, sun room, screen porch, or outside and enjoy a cool glass of lemonade or glass of wine. After dark, enjoy what you can’t see in the city – the stars. The sky is beautiful away from the city lights. The Inn is great for a girls night or weekend out, a team building event, or themed weekend, such as our Murder Mystery event or scrap-booking/quilting weekend. Play a game (we have many to choose from) watch a movie, read a book or search the web on our free WIFI. The Inn is a great place to use as a “jumping off point” to explore and enjoy the many things to do and see in the area – fishing, boating, kayaking, wine tasting, antiquing, biking, cycling, hiking, golf, indoor golf, sight-seeing or enjoying one of the many festivals and fairs in the area. Before leaving each morning treate yourself to one of our sensational breakfasts.

The Inn has so much more to offer than a hotel or motel. Comfortable and spacious it is more like home than a overnight travel stop. If you have never stayed at a bread and breakfast, you don’t know what you are missing!

Make your reservation, today. We look forward to seeing you.
